The important details
Terms & conditions.

1. Who we are
This website is operated by MadeFondly.com ("we", "us", "our").
These terms apply to every order placed through this website. Please read them before ordering — by placing an order you accept them. We recommend saving or printing a copy.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes your legal rights as a consumer. If any part of these terms conflicts with those rights, your legal rights take priority.
2. Our products
Everything we sell is personalised and made to your specification after you order. Products include printed wall art, greeting cards, books and stationery, puzzles, photo gifts and similar items.
Images on this website, including previews shown in our design tools, are an accurate representation but not an exact reproduction. Colours vary between screens and printing processes, and paper stock affects how a colour appears. Slight differences between your on-screen preview and the printed item are normal and are not a fault.
Where a design is generated or enhanced using automated or AI-assisted tools, the result depends on the quality of the material you supply. A low-resolution or heavily compressed photograph will produce a softer print.
3. Placing an order
Your order is an offer to buy. We accept it when we send you the order confirmation email, and a contract comes into existence at that point.
Even after we have accepted your order, we may cancel it and refund you in full if an item turns out to be unavailable, we cannot process your payment, we suspect fraud, we identify a pricing error under clause 7, or the content you supplied breaches clause 5. We will tell you if that happens.
You are responsible for checking your design, spelling, dates, names, coordinates and delivery address before paying. Because each item is made individually for you, we cannot correct an error once production has started.
4. Changing or cancelling your order
Production usually begins within a few hours of payment. If you need to change or cancel an order, contact us immediately. We will always try to help, but once an item has entered production we cannot change or cancel it.
Your statutory cancellation rights. Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, consumers usually have 14 days to cancel a distance purchase. That right does not apply to goods made to your specification or clearly personalised, which covers substantially everything we sell. It also does not apply to digital downloads once you have started the download, which you agree to when you access the file.
Everything currently in our range is personalised or made to your specification, so in practice that exemption covers your whole order. Should we ever sell an item that is not personalised, the 14-day right applies to it as normal: tell us within 14 days of delivery, return it unused and at your own cost, and we will refund you within 14 days of receiving it back.
Gift cards. A gift card is supplied as a code by email. You may cancel it within 14 days of purchase provided the code has not been redeemed. Once it has been used, in whole or in part, it cannot be cancelled or refunded.
This clause does not affect your rights if an item is faulty, damaged or not as described. See clause 9.
5. Content you supply
You keep ownership of the photographs, text and other material you upload. By uploading it, you give us and our production partners a licence to store, reproduce, adapt and print it for the sole purpose of producing and delivering your order, and for keeping the records described in our privacy policy.
You confirm that you own the material you upload or have permission to use it, that it does not infringe anyone else's copyright, trade mark or other rights, and that it does not include the personal data of someone who has not agreed to it.
We may refuse or cancel an order, and refund it, where the content supplied is unlawful, infringing, obscene, hateful, or where reproducing it would expose us or our production partners to a claim. This includes badges, crests, logos and other trade marks belonging to third parties.
You agree to reimburse us for losses we suffer as a result of a claim that the content you supplied infringed someone else's rights.
6. Our intellectual property
The design, templates, layouts, styling, imagery and software on this website belong to us or our licensors and may not be copied, resold or used to produce competing items.
Map data is © OpenStreetMap contributors, used under the Open Database Licence. Other data sources are credited where they appear.
Products bought from us are for personal use. Resale, or commercial reproduction of a design bought from us, is not permitted without our written agreement.
7. Price and payment
Prices are shown in pounds sterling. Where you have chosen another currency, that figure is a conversion for guidance and the charge is taken in the currency shown at checkout.
Delivery is charged separately and is shown before you pay. Import duties and taxes are not included — see our delivery information.
Payment is taken in full at the time of order through Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card details.
We take care to price accurately. If we discover an error in the price of an item you have ordered, we will contact you before dispatch and give you the choice of continuing at the correct price or cancelling for a full refund.
Discount codes cannot be combined unless we say otherwise, have no cash value, and may be withdrawn at any time.
8. Delivery
We aim to dispatch within 1-2 working days and to deliver within the windows published on our delivery information page. Those windows are estimates, not guarantees, and depend on carriers and factors outside our control.
Unless we have agreed a longer period with you, we will deliver within 30 days of the day the contract is formed. If we do not, you may end the contract and receive a full refund. Where you told us a delivery date was essential and we missed it, you may end the contract immediately.
Goods are your responsibility from the time they are delivered to the address you gave us. Ownership passes to you once we have received payment in full.
If nobody is available to take delivery, the carrier will follow its usual process. If an item is returned to the production facility because of an incorrect address or a failure to collect, we can reproduce and resend it, but the reprint and postage are chargeable.
9. Faulty or damaged goods
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. If what you receive is faulty, damaged in transit, or not the design you ordered, contact us within 30 days of delivery with your order reference and photographs, and we will reprint and resend it or refund you in full. Your statutory rights are unaffected and may last longer than 30 days.
Full detail is on our returns page.
10. Gift cards and digital downloads
Gift cards are redeemable against orders on this website, cannot be exchanged for cash, and do not expire. They are bought and redeemed in pounds sterling whatever display currency you are browsing in. We are not able to replace a gift card code that has been lost or shared with someone else.
Digital downloads are supplied as high-resolution files for your personal use. You agree that supply begins immediately, and that you therefore lose the right to cancel once you access the file. If a file is corrupt or does not match what you ordered, tell us and we will replace it or refund you.
11. Our liability
We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that is not foreseeable, or for business losses — these terms apply to consumers buying for personal use.
We do not exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Where we are liable, our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it, except where the law does not allow that limit.
12. Events outside our control
We are not liable for delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including carrier disruption, extreme weather, industrial action, failure of a production facility, or interruption of public networks. If such an event occurs we will contact you and, where the delay is substantial, you may cancel and receive a refund for anything not yet delivered.
13. Using this website and your account
You may use this website only for lawful purposes. You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, interfere with its operation, or extract data from it by automated means without our permission.
If you create an account, keep your password confidential and tell us promptly if you believe someone else has used it. We may suspend or close an account that is used in breach of these terms.
We may change this website, our product range and our prices at any time. Changes to prices do not affect orders we have already accepted.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you placed it.
15. Complaints
If something has gone wrong, please contact us first and we will do our best to put it right. We aim to acknowledge complaints within two working days and resolve them within fourteen.
16. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes may be brought in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in your own courts.
17. General
If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in force. A delay in enforcing these terms is not a waiver of our rights. This contract is between you and us; nobody else has any right to enforce it.
